LOGAN COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A fight between two friends lands them in jail, both charged with malicious wounding.
According to Chapmanville Police, on April 10th, they responded to Tomblin Drive for a fight in progress. When deputies arrived, they observed a glass vase busted in front of the apartment door. Timothy Whitt told police that William Burgess threw a bottle at him and struck his left hand, causing a laceration and bleeding. Burgess fled but was captured behind the apartments.
Burgess told police he was coming home from work when Whitt came outside and tried to start a fight. He said Whitt struck him with a stick on his left arm, causing a bruise.
Burgess and Whitt were arrested, and each was charged with malicious wounding. They are currently out on bond.
