MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Around 4:20 am, this morning, the East River Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire on Short St.
Chief 50 confirmed shortly after the initial tone that it was a confirmed working fire as the glow could be seen from a distance away.
Princeton City Fire and Green Valley Fire Department responded as mutual aid. It took a while to bring the fire under control due to the roof falling in and the floor being structurally unstable. Thanks to Princeton Rescue for standing by on the scene to ensure personnel were safe.
All units have cleared now. A big thanks to all the crews on the scene. No word on any injuries at this time.
