The Schmidt family may seem like any ordinary family, but close friends will tell you they are so much more. Last night, they lost their home to a fire. The Schmidts are a family of ten – yes – ten. Amanda and her husband Aaron are a homeschool family and involved heavily in the community. By the Grace of Almighty God, everyone made it out of the home unharmed – including beloved family pets.
The family are avid members of their church, Providence Bible Church and volunteer their time with CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship). They are members of R.E.A.C.H (Raleigh Educational Association of Christian Homeschoolers) and love to take hikes, enjoy nature and spread the love of God.
Amanda and her children are also heavily involved in Civil Air Patrol and have made a huge impact on local children through that program. All 8 children and both parents live at home.
A friend of the family had this to say, “They are amazing parents who are so intentional about spending quality time with each individual child. Folks might believe it’s impossible to intentionally show individualized love and care for each child in a family with 8 children, but they do it.”
As a mom of 6, the statement above is extremely difficult at times. Below, you will find a link to the Go Fund Me that Aaron created.
Please consider helping this family in their extreme time of need. If not, sharing can also help spread the word. Keep them in your prayers and uplift them. At the time of this story, $4,800 dollars have been raised! Please click the button below to see the Go Fund Me that was created.
