UPDATE: ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The fireworks display set to occur Friday, October 7th as part of the Mountain State Forest Festival Kickoff Party has seen a time change per an update from the city.
The display, initially scheduled for Saturday, October 1st at 8:00pm, saw rescheduling over the weekend due to the rainy conditions which have persisted recently.
October 7th was set as the new date, with a time of 9:30pm having been given so as to start the display immediately following the Mountain State Forest Festival Firefighter’s Parade.
A Wednesday morning update from Elkins City Hall confirmed yet another change in scheduling, with the display time being adjusted to occur at 7:40, just prior to the the Mountain State Forest Festival Firefighter’s Parade.

ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The fireworks display slated to take place Saturday, October 1st at 8:00pm as part of the Mountain State Forest Festival Kickoff Party will not go on as originally scheduled.
According to a Saturday morning update from Elkins City Hall the fireworks display has been postponed due to inclement weather, owing to persistent rain showers which have affected various areas throughout the Mountain State.
The updated date for the display will be Friday, October 7, with fireworks set to be launched at 9:30pm following the Mountain State Forest Festival Firefighter’s Parade.
