MINGO COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Mingo County Schools have been closed indefinitely due to ongoing flooding in the area, according to an announcement from the Mingo County Board of Education.
School officials stated they will assess conditions when possible and provide updates to the community.
“We pray for the safety of all,” the statement posted to Facebook read.
Families, students, and staff are encouraged to stay alert for further announcements as the situation develops.
Mingo County is under a Flood Warning until 11:30 AM Sunday.
