BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – West Virginia State Police Troopers arrested a Raleigh County man over the weekend after the Eisenhower Drive Captain D’s restaurant was robbed at gunpoint.
Captain R. A. Maddy of the WVSP reports that, at 8:45am on the morning of Saturday, August 10, 2024, Troopers responded 800 Eisenhower Drive regarding a reported armed robbery.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement spoke with employees of the establishment who advised that 27-year-old Brandon Jefferson, a former employee of the Captain D’s location, had held an employee at gunpoint and demanded money. Upon successfully securing the funds, Jefferson reportedly fled the scene with $1,152.
Authorities located Jefferson near the scene of the incident and successfully recovered both the money and the handgun which was used during the robbery.
Brandon Jefferson was arrested and faces charges of First Degree Armed Robbery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.
The investigation has been completed and authorities are currently awaiting the court process, according to authoirities.
