HICO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A routine traffic stop in Hico on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, resulted in the arrest of four individuals, according to Fayette County Sheriff Jess McMullen.
Three of those arrested now face multiple felony charges.

Just before noon, deputies pulled over a vehicle on U.S. Route 60 for a minor traffic violation.
During the stop, deputies observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. The driver consented to a search of the vehicle, which led to the discovery of various narcotics.
The following individuals were arrested and charged:
- Daylon Carte, of Hico – Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substances and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony
- Trista Kuhn, of Hico – Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substances and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony
- Tabitha Wyatt, of Lookout – Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substances and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony
All three remain at Southern Regional Jail on a $30,000 bond.
A fourth individual, Jason Wyatt, of Hico, was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
Sheriff McMullen reminded the public that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
