MINERAL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A head-on collision on Northwestern Turnpike near Cedar Point Lane Saturday morning sent four people to area hospitals, according to the New Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
Rescue crews were dispatched at 9:58 a.m. for a vehicle accident involving possible ejection and multiple patients.
First responders found a two-vehicle collision with two patients in the roadway. No one was trapped.
Assistant Chief 38 established command and requested two helicopters to transport patients to a level one trauma center.
Keyser Volunteer Fire Department assisted by setting up a landing zone near the crash scene.
In total, four people were transported for treatment: two by air to Ruby Memorial Hospital and two by ground ambulance to Potomac Valley Hospital.
