WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Four individuals have been sentenced for methamphetamine trafficking in the West Virginia, with sentences ranging from over four years to more than 27 years.
Terry Lee Mason, Jr., 37, of Martinsburg, was sentenced to 324 months (27 years) in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute 50 or more grams of crystal methamphetamine.
According to court documents, Mason, also known as “TJ,” worked alongside Robert Joseph Wilson, III, 38, of Hagerstown, Maryland, to distribute methamphetamine in Berkeley County.
Wilson was sentenced to 300 months (25 years) for aiding and abetting the distribution of five or more grams of the drug.
Brenda Sams, 44, of Petersburg, received a 70-month (nearly six-year) sentence for distributing methamphetamine in Grant County.
Sams has previous drug and theft convictions at both the state and federal levels.
Melinda Kay Zirbs, 57, of Elkins, was sentenced to 56 months (just under five years) for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Investigators found more than $20,000 and a quantity of methamphetamine at her home during an investigation.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kyle Kane and Stephen Warner led the prosecution for these cases.
