TAZEWELL COUNTY, VA (LOOTPRESS)– The Clinch Mountain Longbeards of the National Wild Turkey Federation is hosting their annual free kids fishing day.
The event is on Saturday, July 3, 2021, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Children 16 years old or younger are invited to fish at the Tazewell Moose Lodge Campground.
Organizer and President of the Clinch Mountain Longbeards, Nathan Roberts, says this is their organization’s 17th annual event.
“We’re just giving the kids something to do. Every kid leaves with a bunch of trout and it’s just a great time,” said Roberts.
Larry Johnson and State Farm are sponsors of the fishing event. Trophies will go to the child who has the biggest trout in each age group. Pizza and other prizes will be available to children.
The event asks that each child bring their fishing pole, bait, chair, and bucket.
The organization is looking for donations and prizes for this event. Roberts says that donations are tax-deductible. For more information, contact 276-202-2975 or visit the Clinch Mountain Longbeards Facebook page.
