WAYNE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man wanted in both Ohio and Michigan was arrested in East Lynn after deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit found more than a quarter pound of fentanyl hidden in his underwear during a traffic stop, according to Sheriff Eddie Bradshaw.
The sheriff’s office reported that the vehicle was stopped in the East Lynn area, and a probable cause search uncovered fentanyl, marijuana, and a digital scale.
The suspect initially gave deputies a false name but was later identified as Clay “Jazz” Richbow, a fugitive from Ohio wanted on dangerous drug charges and from Michigan for a parole violation related to gun charges.
Richbow is facing multiple charges, including possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, obstructing, and possession of a controlled substance.
Sheriff Bradshaw said the Drug Enforcement Unit had received information that Richbow was distributing fentanyl in the Wayne, East Lynn, and Kiahsville areas.
Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
