TAZEWELL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A fugitive being sought by the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshal Service was captured by authorities early Wednesday morning.
According to reports from the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office, Derek “Reece” Samuel Ringstaff – a fugitive wanted for larceny and possession of child pornography – was captured in the early hours of Wednesday morning by authorities with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office in Columbia County, Georgia.
The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office had previously reached out to the public over the weekend seeking information on the whereabouts of Ringstaff.
These reports indicated the fugitive to be a 37-year-old bald, white male with hazel eyes standing 6’0 and weighing 200lbs. At the time, Ringstaff had last been seen driving a black 430i BMW with Virginia tags #747-838.
Those with any pertinent information had been encouraged to contact Lt. Hall of the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office.
“Thanks to everyone who had a part in bringing this fugitive into the hands of law enforcement,” read a statement released by the department upon Ringstaff’s capture.
