ROMNEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Romney Fire Company has announced funeral details for Firefighter Jason T. Shingleton whose End of Watch was Monday, February 19, 2024.
Friends and Family will gather for a visitation at the Romney Fire Company Banquet Hall (upstairs), 175 S High St, Romney WV, from 12 PM-2 PM on Saturday, February 24, 2024.
Funeral services will follow the visitation.
All fire departments are welcome to participate.
Those sending apparatus for processional shall contact Hampshire Chief 3, or Mineral Captain 37 on HamTac 2 upon arrival to Romney for parking locations and designations.
Citizens are urged to use caution and exercise patience as there will be a large volume of pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
Parking will be limited around town. Carpooling is highly encouraged.
Following the funeral services, a procession will commence, to his final resting place in the Ebeneezer Church Cemetery, located at Mountian Top.
“We would like to thank the community for your support during this difficult time. Jason was a friend to all. Please keep his family, work family, marine family, fire department family, and all of his friends in your thoughts and prayers,” Romney Fire Company said in a statement. “Rest easy brother, we’ll take it from here.”
