Princeton – Paige Maynard did it all Tuesday evening, going 3 for 4 at the plate with a home run and pitching a complete-game shutout as Shady Spring picked up an 8-0 victory at Princeton.
Maynard was equally as impressive in the circle as she was in the box, striking out 15 batters en route to a no-hitter.
Olivia Barnett flanked Maynard with two hits and two RBIs while Hadley Wood pitched in three hits.
Shady improves to 1-1 and will travel to Liberty on Thursday. Princeton drops to 1-2 and will travel to Bluefield on Wednesday.
