Girls Basketball Roundup: James Monroe, Meadow Bridge and Greenbrier East Win; PikeView and Oak Hill fall

James Monroe 51, Mingo Central 44

Lindside – Trailing by 15 points, James Monroe rallied in the second half, securing a 51-44 victory over Mingo Central Saturday in Lindside.

The Mavericks held Mingo to just nine points in the second half of the victory.

Maggie Boroski led the charge with 26 points while Ava Dunlap netted 10.

Addie Smith led Mingo with 23 points.

Oak Hill – Rayanna Breckenridge and Jeriyah Pryor netted 28 points each as George Washington rolled to a 74-49 victory over Oak Hill in Oak Hill Saturday.

Addy Isaacs and Taysia Gray led the scoring efforts for Oak hill with 23 and 11 points, respectively.

Isaacs and Gray both went over 1,000 points in their careers as well in the game.

Riley Meadows led PikeView with 15 points while Karis Trump netted 13.

Kendall Anderson led Hurricane (13-1) with 18 in the loss.
