Hico – Independence built a five-point lead after three quarters and held on to beat Midland Trail 38-33 in the battle of the Patriots.
Lacey Goodson scored a game high 18 points, while Harmony Mills had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Raleigh County Patriots.
Raelyn Morris led Midland Trail with 13 points and Jayla Barnhouse added 10 points.

Lindside – James Monroe held Tazewell to a point in the opening quarter Friday night, claiming an 81-34 win over the Bulldogs.
The Mavericks led 24-1 after a quarter and were never challenged the rest of the way.
Mary Beth Meadows finished just shy of a triple double with 19 points, 11 assists and nine steals while Abby Mathis grabbed 15 rebounds to go with 10 points.
Maggie Boroski led the Mavericks and all scorers with 24 points.

Logan – PikeView overcame some fourth-quarter mishaps Friday at the Wildcats Classic in Logan to hand previously unbeaten and state runner-up Philip Barbour a 52-49 loss in overtime.
Riley Meadows led the Panthers with 14 points in the win while Brooke Craft added nine points and 13 rebounds. Haley Justice added nine points and nine rebounds as well in the win.
Braylon Sparks led Philip Barbour with 16 points ion the loss.
