HINTON – Summers County held Pocahontas County scoreless in the second quarter Thursday, beating the Warriors 52-37 in Hinton.
Summers’ Maggie Stover led the way with a game-high 22 points while Gracie Harvey added 12. Sullivan Pivont was the third Lady Bobcat in double figures with 10 points.
Olivia Vandevendor led Pocahontas County with 15 points.
Summers improves to 6-3 and will travel to Pocahontas County on Jan. 6.

BRUSHFORK – Beyonka Lee and Ny’Asia Hanley each scored 13 points as Bluefield picked up a 53-48 home win over Class AAAA Oak Hill Thursday at the Brushfork Armory.
Cara and Adie Brown each scored in double figures as well for the Beavers, adding 10 points each.
Oak Hill’s Samiah Lynch led all scorers with 20 points in the loss.
The Red Devils will host Van on Jan. 4 while Bluefield will host Westside on Jan. 5.

LOGAN – Peyton Ilderton dazzled with 25 points as Logan beat Wyoming East 63-48 Thursday evening at Willie Akers Arena in Logan.
Colleen Lookabill was a bright spot for the Lady Warriors, pouring in a career-high 20 points in the loss. Maddie Clark was steady again, adding 15 for East.
East drops to 4-2 and will travel to Westside on Jan. 4. Logan improves to 9-0 and will travel to Lincoln County on Jan. 3.

RIPLEY – Ripley scored on a bucket with a second left in overtime to top Shady Spring 54-52 Thursday in Ripley.
McKennan Hall led Ripley with 16 points.
Shady Spring had four players score in double figures, highlighted by double-double efforts from Kierra Richmond (17 points and 10 steals) and Braylie Wiseman (11 points and 14 rebounds).
Shady drops to 5-3 and will return to action Jan. 7 when it hosts Winfield.
