Institute – River View raced out to a strong lead in the first half and went on to defeat Greater Beckley Christian 79-41 Thursday morning at the FCA Hoops Classic played at WV State University.
Chasity Kennedy led four Raiders in double figures with 22 points, along with nine rebounds and six steals. Kaci Hatfield followed with 19 points, while Kayla Cooper had 13 and Baleigh Auville scored 12 points.
Lily Perkins had a team-high 11 rebounds and Kaylee Blankenship had eight assists.
Destyni Farrish led the Crusaders with 14 points and Braelyn Farrish scored 13 points. Leah Adkins added eight points and Aislinn Pelfrey grabbed 16 rebounds.
Kyla Cooper was named the Player of the Game.

Abby Greer tallied nine points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Summit.
Megan Hendrick had a double-double for the Tigers with 10 points and 16 rebounds. Peyton Raban added 11 points and grabbed nine boards. Austyn Barnes recorded four steals.
