Princeton 9, Wyoming East 3
Princeton – Princeton exploded for five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, generating breathing room in a 9-3 victory against Wyoming East Monday in Princeton.
Deegan Walters and Kaden Davis drove in two runs each for the Tigers in the win.
Owen Biggs led Wyoming East with two hits and two RBIs in the loss.
PikeView 14, Bluefield 2
Bluefield – Eli Hilling had a night to remember Monday, fanning a program record 20 batters on 105 pitches as PikeView earned a 14-2 win at Bluefield.
Hilling went the distance in the win, limiting Bluefield to three hits.
Sammy Lyle led the charge at the plate with three hits and four RBIs, smashing a home run for the Panthers.
Landon Crane collected two of Bluefield’s three hits in the loss.
Independence 16, Oak Hill 9
Oak Hill – Independence exploded for seven runs in he top of the eighth inning to topple Oak Hill 16-9 in Oak Hill Monday.
Tied at 7-7 heading into the seventh inning, each team scored two runs each in their respective halves of the frame to send the game to extras. Indy’s outburst in the extra frame decided the outcome.
Indy was led by Blake Stratton who drew six walks in seven plate appearances while Cole Cunningham and Micah Cuthbert drove in three runs each.
Trent Rider led Oak Hill with three hits in the loss.
James Monroe 4, Summers County 0
Hinton – James Monroe limited Summers County’s potent offense to a single hit Monday, earning a 4-0 win over the Bobcats in Hinton.
Kaden Lowe went the distance, striking out seven batters in the win. Cooper Ridgeway and Carson Koen finished with two hits each while Peyton Gardinier drove in two runs, blasting a homer.
Brandan Isaac notched Summers’ lone hit while Ryan Oliveros scattered eight hits in the loss.
Westside 15, Tolsia 4
Clear Fork – Westside’s offense pounded out 11 hits, cruising to a 15-4 five-inning victory Monday at home over Tolsia.
Jaeden Lester led the Renegades with three RBIs while three other Renegades finished with two hits each. Kadien Vance drew three walks.
Charlie Hawks secured the win on the mound.
