Shady Spring 67, Nicholas County 48
Entering Wednesday night’s game against Nicholas, Shady Spring all-stater Kierra Richmond need 39 points to reach 1,000 points for her career.
Richmond did that number two points better on her home floor and scored 41 to lead the Lady Tigers past the Lady Grizzlies, 67-48.
The big night came on the heels of a 25-point performance in a win over Summers County Monday.
Braylie Wiseman added seven points for Shady, while Brooklyn Gibson and Kellie Adkins added five points apiece.
Kelsie Foster led Nicholas County with 19 points. Adrienne Truman scored eight points and Mason Stone had seven points.
Shady Spring travels to Ripley on Dec. 30 for a 1 p.m game. Nicholas County travels to Clay County Tuesday.

Midland Trail 50, Sherman 35
Seth – Midland Trail overcame an eight-point deficit in the first quarter and rebounded for a 50-35 win over Sherman Wednesday night on the road.
The win was the fifth in a row for Trail.
Meghan Gill led the Patriots with a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Rumor Barnhouse scored 14 points, while Addi Isaacs scored nine points and had five steals.
Meghan Hendrick scored six points and grabbed eight rebounds for Trail.
Haika Skeens led the Tide with a game-high 20 points.
Midland Trail (5-2) hosts Greenbrier West Jan. 5 for its next game.
