CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Governor Patrick Morrisey has declared a state of preparedness for all 55 counties in West Virginia as severe weather is expected to impact the state from Wednesday, April 2, through Sunday, April 6, 2025.
“I am urging all West Virginians to heed weather warnings over the next few days as severe storms make their way across the state,” Governor Morrisey said.
“As we continue to monitor developments, I have directed all state agencies and resources to prepare to respond as needed.”
The National Weather Service predicts multiple rounds of severe thunderstorms, heavy rain, and high winds, which could lead to localized flooding and power outages.
Governor Morrisey and the West Virginia Emergency Management Division (WVEMD) urge residents to stay informed through local media and follow any instructions from emergency officials.
