Grand Opening of Mariposa Hollow in Beaver Set for Nov. 18

BEAVER, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The owners of Mariposa Hollow invite the community to attend a grand opening ribbon cutting at 3:30 p.m. on November 18, 2025, at their new store location, 620 Ritter Drive, Beaver, W.Va. Mariposa Hollow is owned by Heather and Aurelio Sanchez, along with their son, Jonathan Anguiano.

To celebrate the store opening, the owners are offering a 15 percent discount on all sales made on November 18. They are also providing free swag bags to the first 50 customers and having raffle/giveaways (free with purchase) for earrings, a gift basket, and a free “Claydie’s Night” workshop experience.

Food and beverages will be available, includinglemonade and a coffee bar, as well as a  mocktail station. Finger foods and charcuterie will be provided by Jose Rizo and El Mariachi of Beaver, and sweet treats by Kenzie’s Cakes.

Co-owner Aurelio Sanchez said, “Mariposa Hollow began the way many beautiful things do –with a spark of creativity and a love for sharing it. Heather has always been a maker at heart. Over the years, she’s explored many creative paths, but one of her greatest passions has been working with polymer clay. What started as a relaxing hobby turned into something more — a way to connect. Some of her favorite memories come from sitting around the table with friends and family, creating together, laughing, and simply enjoying the process. For Heather, it’s never been just about the final piece — it’s always been about the experience, the joy, and the sense of togetherness that comes from making something by hand.”

Through every step of Heather’s creative journey, Aurelio and Jonathan have been her biggest cheerleaders. They have supported her as she explored different artistic avenues, always encouraging her to follow her heart. Their belief in her dream has helped bring Mariposa Hollow to life — a space where creativity and community  grow together.

Heather’s deep love for Mexican culture began long before she met her husband, Aurelio. She’s long been drawn to the rich colors, vibrant traditions, diverse landscapes, and the old-world charm of colonial cities. Over the years, that admiration has only grown stronger, inspiring many of the designs and textures found at Mariposa Hollow.

Aurelio, on the other hand, finds deep peace in the mountains of West Virginia – feeling drawn to their quiet strength and natural beauty. Together, he and Heather dreamed of creating something that celebrated both of their roots: a fusion of West Virginia warmth and Mexican vibrance, wrapped in family, artistry, and heart.

That dream became Mariposa Hollow—a gift shop, a creative space, and a community gathering place all in one. Customers will find handmade jewelry, art, and home décor alongside a curated collection of thoughtful goods that reflect the beauty of both cultures.

Heather said, “You’ll also find space to create. Through artistic workshops – ‘Claydies Night,’ and ‘Ladies Night’ events — Mariposa Hollow invites the community to come together, share laughter, and experience the healing joy of creativity. Around every corner, there’s inspiration. In every detail, there’s a story. And at the heart of it all is a family—and a few dear friends — who simply love making things together and hope you’ll feel that same spark of joy when you walk through the door.”

According to Aurelio, Heather has a favorite saying, “A recipe is just a suggestion.” He added, “Much to the dismay of her best friend and right-hand, Renee, who prefers a little more order in the kitchen. But this playful philosophy is reflected in Heather’s art as well. She approaches each creation with curiosity, flexibility, and a desire to infuse it with her own unique personality. No two pieces are ever exactly alike—and that’s exactly how she likes it.”

Heather Sanchez said, “The West Virginia Hive has been instrumental in bringing my vision for Mariposa Hollow to life. My business coach, Devon Fitzgerald, has provided the confidence, guidance, encouragement, and insight I needed to move forward.”

Fitzgerald states, “Heather’s vision for Mariposa Hollow will bring creativity, culture, and community together in one space. It will be more than a store—it will be a place for connection, inspiration, and joy. Beaver is about to welcome a truly special gathering place.”

Sanchez cited the CO.STARTERS course as being impactful, giving her the tools to manage finances, plan for growth, and connect with her ideal customers. “Thanks to the Hive’s support, I believe Mariposa Hollow can truly make a difference in our community,” she added.

Sanchez said the other businesses in the Beaver area are being very supportive of her grand opening and will be there on November 18.
