RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men in connection with a shooting that occurred last week in the Calloway Heights area.
According to a press release from Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton, the shooting took place on January 24, 2026, at a residence on Juniper Street. Investigators conducted an extensive investigation following the incident.
As a result of that investigation, active felony arrest warrants have been obtained for Darnell Mitchell and Christopher Shrewsbury in connection with the shooting. Authorities say both men are considered armed and dangerous.
In addition to the charges related to the shooting, Mitchell is also wanted for a parole violation, according to the sheriff’s office.
Law enforcement officials are urging the public not to approach either individual if they are seen.

The sheriff’s office emphasized that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
