GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Fourth of July celebration ended in handcuffs for a Greenbrier County woman after a domestic disturbance call led to her arrest for domestic battery.
At approximately 7:58 p.m., Greenbrier County 911 dispatched deputies to Greenbrier Avenue, where a witness reported that Sarah Bailey had been drinking heavily and causing a disturbance in the home.
He told deputies that Bailey had been cursing at him and his wife throughout the day. When he began recording her behavior on his phone, Bailey allegedly slapped the phone out of his hand and then did the same to the female victim
The female victim confirmed the account, stating that her daughter had been yelling and drinking all day and had struck her phone during the argument.
When officers spoke with Bailey, they noted a strong odor of alcohol coming from her. She was placed under arrest without incident and transported to Southern Regional Jail.
Bailey is charged with domestic battery, and the case remains under investigation by the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department.
