MEADOW BRIDGE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Greenbrier County woman died following a motor vehicle accident in Meadow Bridge on West Virginia Route 20. Chief Deputy Rod Perdue II released the following information concerning this accident.
Just before 6:00 pm on Friday, January 13, 2023, notification was received through the Fayette County 911 Center of a motor vehicle accident on WV Route 20 in the Meadow Bridge area of Fayette County, WV. Sheriff’s Deputies, EMS personnel, and Fire Department personnel from the Meadow Bridge Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to respond to the scene.
Upon arriving, deputies did find that a single vehicle appeared to have lost control due to the snowy road condition and struck a power pole. The driver was the sole occupant of the car. She was transported due to her injuries by EMS to BARH Hospital. EMS stated during their transport that the patient became unresponsive and was eventually pronounced deceased by BARH Hospital doctors.
At this time, the driver’s identity is not being released as deputies are still working with Greenbrier County authorities to locate a family member.

This accident remains under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
