HINES, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian strike that occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 27, 2025, in the Hines area of Greenbrier County.
The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 7:50 a.m. after a deceased female was discovered.

Preliminary evidence indicates the victim, 24-year-old Miranda Gray of Charmco, was struck by a vehicle.
The Greenbrier County Crime Scene Unit responded to process the scene.
As the investigation progressed, the Sheriff’s Office—assisted by the West Virginia State Police—located the suspect vehicle and driver. The vehicle has been processed by the Sheriff’s Crime Scene Team.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the driver or details regarding potential charges.
The investigation remains active, and further information will be released as it becomes available.
