FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Greg Fernett of Fayetteville has secured the Republican nomination for the Fayette County Commission.
Fernett fended off two opponents including incumbent Tom Louisos of Oak Hill and Mike Harvey of Fayetteville.
Fernett will face Democrat Gabe Peña in the General Election.
On his campaign website, Fernett committed his full support to Fayette County first responders.
“I support knowing even, balanced government. I believe in and support our Fire Departments in Fayette County. I believe and support Law Enforcement. I believe and support EMS. I believe and support Business but most of all, I believe in our Residents,” Fernett stated.
“The people of Fayette County are my priority. My policies are not to re -invent the wheel. It has already been invented, just make it turn for our county smoother. Let the people have a voice in the county and my job would be to respect that voice.”
Final unofficial vote counts are as follows:
Greg Fernett: 39.95% | 1,582 votes
Mike Harvey: 30.83% | 1,221 votes
Tom Louisos: 29.22% | 1,157 votes
