BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders came close but couldn’t overcome the Chapmanville Regional Tigers on senior night at home Monday, falling 80-76 in a hard-fought matchup.
Despite putting up an impressive offensive effort—scoring even more than in their previous 68-point performance last Thursday—the Crusaders couldn’t close the gap, marking their second consecutive loss.
The defeat brings their season record to 13-8, though their offense has remained strong, averaging 72 points over their last two games.
Chapmanville Regional, on the other hand, has been on a roll, winning seven of their last nine games to improve to 14-7 this season.
Greater Beckley Christian will get another shot at redemption soon, as the two teams are set for a rematch on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. to kick off Regional play.
