ORIGINAL STORY: Interstate 64 eastbound is currently closed at mile marker 22 in Barboursville due to a hazardous materials (hazmat) incident following a semi-truck rollover, according to the Barboursville Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD).
Emergency responders are managing the scene, but details about the truck’s cargo have not been disclosed at this time.
The BVFD estimates that the eastbound lanes will remain closed for several hours as cleanup efforts and an investigation continue.
