RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – I-64 west in Raleigh County remains shut down following a serious accident on Wednesday evening.
Officials say a tractor-trailer accident occurred at mile marker 137 on I-64 in Raleigh County which resulted in the complete closure of the interstate.
As of 6:45 PM Wednesday, all lanes of I-64 west remain closed.
All westbound traffic on I-64 in Summers County will be detoured at Exit 143, Green Sulphur Springs, onto Route 20. Drivers in the area are urged to follow posted signs and directions.
According to West Virginia 511, the detour has resulted in major traffic delays along Route 20.
