BRUCETON MILLS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On Sunday, January 21, 2024, at approximately 1:35 p.m., Kenneth Harrington was found unresponsive at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Hazelton in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia.
Responding employees initiated life-saving measures. Emergency medical services (EMS) were requested while life-saving efforts continued. Mr. Harrington was subsequently pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation was notified.
No employees or other incarcerated individuals were injured and at no time was the public in
danger.
Mr. Harrington was a 68-year-old male who was sentenced in the Southern District of Texas to a
235-month sentence for Armed Bank Robbery. He had been in custody at FCI Hazelton since
June 5, 2023.
FCI Hazelton is a medium-security facility.
