ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Randolph County man was arrested on Wednesday after making threats to officers responding to a call.
According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, Deputies with the department responded to 51 Brenwalt Fortney Drive in the Elkins area with regard to a neighbor disturbance.
Deputies discovered at the scene an intoxicated male identified as Daryan S. Scott, who reportedly was behaving in a belligerent, disruptive, and aggressive manner throughout the course of the investigation.
Scott is also reported to have been making threats during the investigation, and while being taken into custody, reportedly stated “that he would shoot a cop.”
Scott was arrested at the scene of the incident and was charged with Obstructing an Officer as well as Officer Harassment. He was then transported to Tygart Valley Regional Jail to await arraignment.Â
