RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Investigation underway after a woman was seriously injured in a mining accident.
West Virginia Director, Marketing and Communications Andy Malinoski confirmed to Lootpress that a serious injury occurred at the Wyco Surface Mine on July 12, 2024. The incident is currently under joint investigation by WVOMHST and MSHA.
Malinoski said the woman was still in the hospital and stable.
He said no further details are available at this time.
