SISSONVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A driver faces Larceny-related charges after failing to pay for their gasoline on Monday.
According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, at around 8:15pm on Monday, September 18, 2023, a vehicle pulled up to pump #4 Rich Oil Station, 2900 Sissonville Drive around 8:15 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle, a white Jeep Patriot, pumped approximately $45 worth of fuel before leaving the station without paying.
The clerk at the establishment reportedly described the vehicle as a white Jeep Patriot, displaying West Virginia registration plate #96H586.
Deputies are currently making efforts to locate the vehicle and driver, and the driver will reportedly face criminal charges for larceny of gasoline.
Under the statute of the West Virginia State Code, the driver could also face revocation of their driver’s license for six months or one year.
