WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Speaking one-on-one with CNN’s Manu Raju on Thursday, Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV) was asked if he would vote for Kamala Harris in November.
Manchin was asked if he was any closer to endorsing Harris following last Tuesday’s debate.
“I’m looking forward to the conversation that we’re probably going to have,” Manchin said.
“I think she’s moving in the right direction, things I’m hearing are sounding very good and I want to make sure that we have a very good conversation.”
When asked if he could endorse Harris before the election on November 5, Manchin said “Well, I could see that, yes.”
This is not the first time Manchin has been on the fence about supporting the Democratic nominee for president as he refused to endorse President Obama for reelection in 2012.
Manchin did not seek reelection to the U.S. Senate this year.
