OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An Oak Hill man is convicted of sexual assault.
Anthony Ciliberti, Jr., Prosecuting Attorney, announces that on October 19, 2022, Chad M. Eldredge, age 36, of Oak Hill, West Virginia, was convicted of the felony crime of Second-Degree Sexual Assault following a two-day jury trial before Circuit Judge Paul M. Blake, Jr.
On February 5, 2021, a female was interviewed by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, who disclosed that the Defendant, Chad M. Eldredge, had sexually assaulted her when she was a juvenile. In response to the disclosure, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department Detective Bureau opened an investigation into the Defendant. Ultimately, it was determined that the Defendant had sexually assaulted the juvenile on multiple occasions.
Eldredge is scheduled to be sentenced on December 16, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. for this crime. Eldredge faces not less than ten years nor more than 25 years in prison. Eldridge will be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life and be subject to up to fifty years of extended supervised release.
This crime was investigated by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department Detective Bureau.
