DANVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A juvenile male has reportedly been taken into custody for multiple charges including Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.
According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, June 26, 2023, Deputies with the department conducted a traffic stop in the Danville area of US 119 in Boone County.
An investigation into the driver and occupant of the vehicle was set into motion by Deputies along with members of the US 119 task force. This investigation reportedly led to the arrest of a 17-year-old male.
Among the charges faced by the juvenile are Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver for Fentanyl, as well as Juvenile in Possession of a Concealed Handgun.
Due to age of the suspect involved in the investigation, no name or other identifying information has been released by authorities at this time.
It has been indicated by the Boone County Sheriff’s Department however, that the juvenile male is from Akron, Ohio, serving as one of the latest instances in the ongoing problem of lethal drugs flowing into West Virginia from surrounding states.
