THURMOND, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A juvenile was left injured after an ATV accident in Fayette County.
According to Fayette County Sheriff Mike Fridley, just before 1:30 pm on January 30, 2024, deputies were notified of an ATV accident in the Thurmond area of Fayette County.
When deputies arrived they found a single juvenile male, 17 years of age, suffering from serious injuries.
Preliminary investigation determined that the male lost control of his ATV when navigating a turn, resulting in the ATV rolling over onto him.
At the time of the deputy’s arrival, the juvenile was conscious, but he did begin to lose consciousness while EMS was assessing the injuries.
The juvenile was transported to Raleigh General Hospital and later transferred to Charleston Area Medical Center.
This accident remains under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.
