UPDATE: BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Details to continue emerge with regard to a Tuesday evening shooting incident which resulted in the death of a juvenile in the Beckley area.
Raleigh County responders were dispatched to the Carriage Drive area of Beckley at 5:49 on Tuesday where a shooting was reported to have taken place in a wooded area behind Raleigh General Hospital.
The victim involved was confirmed by authorities on Wednesday to have been fatally wounded during the altercation and was also confirmed to have been a juvenile.
The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department has since provided confirmation that the victim was a 17-year-old male and suffered a single gunshot wound in the incident which led to his passing.

UPDATE: RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department has released additional information about a shooting incident.
According to detectives, the shooting occurred in a wooded area off Carriage Dr. in Beckley. Â One person was shot and killed.
