SISSONVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One individual involved in a Sissonville house fire on Tuesday is confirmed to have passed away as a result of the incident.
The West Virginia State Fire Marshal reports that two unidentified individuals were involved in Tuesday’s fire, an adult male a 52-year-old female, the latter of whom was identified at the homeowner and the sole fatality of the incident.
The adult male is said to have sustained injuries and received transportation to a local hospital for treatment following the fire.
The origin of the fire has yet to be determined at the time of writing, though the case remains under investigation by the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The State Fire Marshal confirmed that the West Virginia State Medical Examiner’s Office is currently analyzing the deceased for positive identification and autopsy.

SISSONVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Tuesday night structure fire is being investigated by the West Virginia State Fire Marshals Office.
According to the Sissonville Fire Department, just after 9:00pm on the night of Tuesday, April 2, 2024, the SFD was dispatched to Tahoe Road in response to a reported structure fire.
Units received information while en route to the scene of the incident indicating potential entrapment of an individual inside the residence.
Upon arriving at the scene, Engine 263 noted light smoking showing from the structure and crews immediately initiated a search of the structure, resulting in the discovery of a single victim inside.
The victim was removed from the building and was transported by KCEAA. The scene also saw response from Engines 264 and 32, Tanker 262 and 267, Utility 3 and 268.
The fire is currently under investigation by the West Virginia State Fire Marshals Office.
