(LOOTPRESS) – It has been announced that the Little Caesars Pizza Pizza Paws Campaign has reached its $30,000 fundraising goal which will allow for 200 police K-9 handlers throughout the state to be provided with a portable medical kit which includes supplies which will assist in stabilizing K-9s in a medical emergency situation.
Throughout the month of April, 55 Little Caesars restaurant locations – 48 of which are located in West Virginia, three in Ohio, and five in Kentucky – worked in support of the fundraiser. The campaign was implemented to increase awareness and support for community police and K-9s, as many K-9 divisions are funded through personal contributions and donations.
The West Virginia State Police expressed gratitude for the support of Little Caesars through the campaign, stating, “The West Virginia State Police would like to thank Little Caesars for their continued support with the 2024 Pizza-Pizza Paws campaign. This year our K-9 handlers received lifesaving supplies and kits to be used in emergency situations.”
VDM Management Group Franchisee and Owner, Vicki Dunn-Marshall says of the campaign, “We are very appreciative to our customers and community partners for helping make this year’s Pizza Pizza Paws a great success. It’s an honor for us to help support the police K-9 Divisions. From tracking, drug searches and criminal apprehension the K-9 officers are a great value that makes our communities a safer place to live and work.”
VDM Management Group, Little Caesars Marketing Director, Sabrina Donahue-Moore expressed pride in the team and community members behind the campaign efforts, declaring, “I’m extremely proud of our team members and our community for stepping up in such a great way. The officers and their K-9 partners are essential in helping find missing people and protecting our communities. It’s a great feeling knowing we provided tools to help them while they are serving our towns.”
The Pizza Pizza Paws Campaign is in its fifth year this year, with hundreds of K-9 handler medical kits having been provided through the campaign efforts since 2019.
Special thanks was also expressed for the campaign partnership with the Kilo-9 Foundation, which will host multiple trainings throughout the state this year on the utilization of the items included as part of the K-9 handler kits.
