MADISON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Madison Volunteer Fire Department is collecting donations to help families affected by Monday night’s flooding in Boone County.
Fire department officials said many residents are dealing with damage, loss and uncertainty following the flooding and are encouraging the community to come together to support those in need.
Donations can be dropped off at the Madison Volunteer Fire Department fire station.
Items being requested include bottled water, non-perishable food, cleaning supplies such as bleach, disinfectant, trash bags, mops and buckets, toiletries and hygiene products, baby supplies including diapers, wipes and formula, blankets, towels, clothing, and pet food and other pet supplies.
Fire department officials said donations of any size are appreciated and encouraged anyone needing assistance or who knows of a family in need to contact the department.
