CRAB ORCHARD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Raleigh County man is accused of luring an underage child with an energy drink and then proceeding to abuse her sexually.
According to the West Virginia State Police, on Monday, September 1st, 2025, they received a complaint through the West Virginia State Police Beckley Detachment in reference to a sexual abuse that occurred in the vicinity of Crab Orchard, West Virginia.
The undersigned spoke with a juvenile female. The victim advised that on August 31st, 2025, at approximately 11:30 am, she was touched inappropriately by Christopher Gill.
On Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, the trooper, the victim’s mother, and the victim responded to Just For Kids, otherwise known as the Child Advocacy Center, for a forensic interview to take place. In said interview, the victim disclosed that Gill observed her walking in the roadway and asked if she wanted an energy drink.
The victim stated that she was waiting outside for him to retrieve the energy drink. While waiting on Gill, the victim stated that she was lying on the ground on her back, petting his dog. When Gill came outside, the victim was still lying on her back and stated that he then got on top of her and began touching her sides and made a comment that she was “filling out”.
The victim told Gill to get off of her and eventually placed her knee in an upward manner and created distance between her and him. Gill then pulled condoms out of his pocket, told her to read them, placed them in front of her face, and said that she would need them.
The victim advised that she had grass on her body from lying on the ground. The victim stated that the accused began making physical contact with his hand on her body in different places.
The accused was arrested for Solicitation of a Minor and Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree.
