MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is facing serious charges after he sexually assaulted a young child.
According to Mercer County detectives, between September 1, 2024, and November 7, 2024, Jeremy Scott White watched two children while their mother ran errands. On November 1, 2024, Jeremy Scott White removed the young child’s clothing and sexually assaulted her.
The mother came home, noticed the bedroom door was shut, entered, and found the child and White naked under the covers. Â White jumped up and said he would never do it again.
During an interview, White admitted to sexually assaulting the young child on that date. He also confessed that he sexually assaulted her on a previous date. He detailed everything he had done to the police.
White is charged with sexual assault, sexual abuse, and incest. He is in Southern Regional Jail under a 50,000 dollar bond.
