BOONE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Boone County man was arrested after allegedly threatening his mother with a hacksaw and physically assaulting her.
West Virginia State Troopers M.D. Peres, A.R. Workman, and R.K. Bowers responded to a domestic disturbance on Ridgeview Nellis Road.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who stated that her son, David Dean Cabell, entered the home armed with a hacksaw. She reported that Cabell placed the hacksaw against her neck, made verbal death threats, and struck her in the back of the head with his fist. The victim further stated that Cabell chased her across the road, pinned her against a guardrail, and continued making threats while brandishing the weapon before fleeing the scene.
A second witness, the homeowner, confirmed that Cabell entered the residence, threatened both individuals and placed the hacksaw against his mother’s neck while issuing additional threats.
Troopers later located and arrested Cabell, who now faces multiple charges, including domestic assault and battery.
