GREEN VALLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man faces charges in relation to an incident in which he pushed, hit, and bit a woman after breaking a mobile home window on Monday.
According to reports from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 4:30am, Deputy J.P. Conner was alerted by Mercer E-911 of a male subject at a Zircon Street residence who had broken a window and struck a woman within a residence.
Upon his arrival at the scene, Deputy Conner was met by Dalelena Stanley, who stated James Decker had punched a window out of their mobile home and had struck her.
Stanley’s arm displayed visible marks and bruises, and Deputy Conner was led to the suspect who was also at the residence at the time.
Decker refused to comply when asked to put his hands behind his back, and upon Conner’s securing of his left hand, pulled away and yelled “no!”
As Decker continued resisting, Conner was able to take him to the ground using a straight armbar technique.
Once handcuffed, Decker refused to stand or support his own weight, at which point Conner awaited the arrival of Deputy Lucas to assist in securing Decker in the patrol vehicle.
A written statement was obtained from Stanley depicting the day’s events, and photos of the bruising were obtained.
Decker was transported to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department for processing, and faces charges of Obstruction, Domestic Battery, and misdemeanor Destruction of Property.
