WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A domestic disturbance in Wyoming County led to the arrest of Travis Lester after he allegedly threatened family members with a needle while under the influence of drugs.
At approximately 7:38 PM, Sgt. Hedinger of the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department responded to a residence on Ramey Addition Road following reports of a violent altercation. According to the complainant, Lester was fighting with family members and had been wielding a needle aggressively.
Upon arrival, Cpl. Grimmette found Lester inside the garage and brought him outside, where he displayed erratic and jerky movements before admitting to being high on drugs. Officers detained Lester and placed him in a patrol vehicle.
A family member reported that Lester had been “tweaking out” in the garage and had stolen money. When confronted, he allegedly chased the family member with a needle, causing her to flee and fall. The woman, who is pregnant, then called 911.
Lester was arrested for domestic assault and transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department for processing. No injuries were reported, and the case remains under investigation.
