NALLEN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is facing felony charges after forcing a woman to remain in his residence on Wednesday and being physically abusive to her for an extended period of time.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department reports that on Wednesday, January 26, 2023, deputies with the department were dispatched to a Nallen residence regarding a potential domestic incident.
Deputies found the victim upon arrival at the scene, and the victim stated that she had been physically abused all evening and had been locked inside the residence and not allowed to leave.
The victim revealed that at one point she had escaped the residence but had been chased down by her abuser who choked her and dragged her back inside where he proceeded to continue physically beating her.
Chirstian Thomas – 24 years old of Nallen – was charged with the felony offense of Strangulation and the misdemeanor offenses of Domestic Battery and Unlawful Restraint. Thomas was detained and transported Southern Regions Jail where he now awaits court proceedings.
