BRENTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Wyoming County man faces multiple charges following a domestic incident involving his wife, multiple children, and a child’s rocking chair.
According to documents from the Magistrate Court of Wyoming County, on Sunday, June 2, 2024, Deputy Walker and Sgt. Cook with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office responded to the R.D. Bailey Highway area of Brenton with regard to a physical domestic report.
Upon arriving at the scene of the incident, law enforcement made contact with a victim involved in an altercation, identified as the wife of the defendant. The victim stated that a verbal argument had been underway when her husband, Bradley Hall, began calling her names and spit in her face, prompting her to spit back at him in return.
At this point, the victim says Hall picked up a child’s rocking chair with which he began to lunge at her and attempt to pin her against the wall.
The daughter then reportedly began to charge at Hall in an attempt to break up the altercation. Mrs. Hall is said to have jumped on Hall’s back to fight him off the daughter. An additional, younger child is reported to have witnessed the incident as well.
Indicating that she feared for her life, Mrs. Hall had police report to the residence in response to the altercation. Documents indicate that she had been bitten on the inner forearm at some point during the exchange.
Authorities place Bradley Hall under arrest, at which time he was transported for the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for processing. Court documentation states that Hall had been charged with Domestic Battery in 2015 but was not convicted.
Hall now faces charges of Domestic Battery (two counts), Unlawful Restraint, and Child Neglect Creating Risk of Injury.
