SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man has been arrested after shooting a gun from his vehicle with a bullet striking a car that was being driven by a juvenile.
According to a criminal complaint, on Monday, June 17, 2024, police were dispatched to the area of Jefferson Road just south of Dapplewood in the South Charleston area.
The complaint alleges that 46-year-old Jesse Cobb discharged a firearm from his Chevy pickup truck.
One fired bullet struck a 2024 Nissan Sentra in the top left portion of the trunk lid. The Nissan was occupied by two victims, including a juvenile driver.
Police stopped Cobb on U.S. 119 nortbound at Wolfpen Lane. The suspect was taken into custody and a search was conducted on his truck.
Police found five spent .380 caliber casings and one spent .40 caliber casing.
A .380 caliber handgun was found in Cobb’s right front pocket and .40 caliber ammunition was found in his front left pocket.
A .40 caliber handgun was found in the center console of his truck.
Cobb was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangerment Involving a Firearm. He is currently at South Central Regional Jail on a $150,000 cash-only bond.
